Story. Culture. Impact.
Every author brings more than a book.
They bring their background, experiences, culture, perspective, and personal journey.
Hollywood Author of the Year 2026 was created to recognize those voices and provide a space where authors from different countries, cultures, and life experiences can connect, learn, and celebrate their work together.

Speaking Topic:
Why Most Authors Are Leaving Money on the Table — And How Their Website Fixes It
Most authors spend months or years writing a book, only to send readers to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and other marketplaces to complete the purchase. While these platforms provide visibility, they also take a portion of every sale and leave authors with little or no direct relationship with their readers.
In this practical and eye-opening session, Dom LeRoux will show authors how selling books directly from their own website can dramatically increase profitability while creating a long-term connection with their audience. Drawing from more than 10 years of experience leading and scaling e-commerce businesses, Dom will share how authors can use their website to sell more books, keep a larger share of the revenue, grow an email list, build a community, and create additional revenue streams beyond book sales.
Attendees will learn:
- Why every author should own their audience instead of renting one
- How selling books directly can significantly increase profit per sale
- The hidden costs of relying exclusively on Amazon and other marketplaces
- How to capture and grow an email list of readers and fans
- How to build lasting relationships that lead to repeat purchases and future opportunities
- Ways to create additional revenue through digital products, courses, coaching, consulting, speaking, memberships, and more.
A book should be more than a one-time sale. It should be the foundation of a brand, a business, and a community. This session will show authors how to make that happen.
